For the first time in the University’s history, the Susan Wakil Health Building brings together multiple medicine and health disciplines into a single, purpose-built facility.

The building has been designed for multidisciplinary teaching and learning across all health disciplines and will be a place of collaborative team-based research.

It features state-of-the-art clinical simulation programs and teaching spaces, a multi-service clinic open to the public, as well as contemporary research facilities. The building also includes a 350-seat lecture theatre, a rehabilitation gym, medical imaging and simulation hospital suites and open-plan workspaces for more than 1,500 staff.

At the heart of the structure is the Upper Wakil Garden, designed to be a relaxed, open-air sanctuary and common space for students and staff.

As Project Director, Adam led the University’s team, inclusive of external consultants, to develop the design in consultation with numerous internal stakeholders and the Principal Contractor.

He managed the team to provide full contract administration services for the delivery of the project in relation to risk mitigation strategies, design development, programme management, project reporting, progress claims and variations.
